50th Toscanello d'Oro wine fest

Bossi

In the historic center of Pontassieve from May 29 to June 02, 2019, will take place the 50th Toscanello d'Oro, the famous kermesse pontassieve. Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and via Tanzini will be entirely dedicated to the 'Citadel and Via del Vino' where you can taste the wines of the farms in the Chianti Rufina area.

La Marchesi Gondi - Tenuta Bossi will be present with its wines, you can taste Chianti Rufina San Giuliano 2017, Chianti Rufina Riserva Villa Bossi 2013 and Rosso Colli Toscana Centrale Ser Amerigo 2010.

In particular you can taste the Ser Amerigo, which is a feminine, seductive, round wine made from a blend of allochthonous and autochthonous vines; 40% Merlot, 40% Sangiovese and 20% Colorino. The wine is a lively ruby red colour with purple reflections. The olfactory impact is complex, intense, immediately pleasant. You can perceive variegated hints of jam of small red fruits such as wild strawberry, spicy hints of licorice and cinnamon, opens in the glass with nuances of leather and sweet tobacco. The taste is full, with a refined tannic texture and a lively sapidity, softened by a generous fruity hug of underbrush that gives elegance and balance. The finish reveals balsamic and liquorice aromas.

This wine is therefore composed of two souls. In fact, the nose has the fruity and sweet notes typical of Merlot, but in the mouth comes out the persistence and strength of Sangiovese, typical of the Chianti Rufina territory.
